ACCOMPANYING FOR TEACHERS

Many musicians learn basic piano skills during their collegiate or advanced training. However, accompanying students has become a central concern for teachers and is often manifested into a fear that must be avoided at all costs. This, in turn, exasterbates the use of karaoke for vocal accompaniment - a metronomic, musically limiting performance tool for singers and instrumentalists. Allie strongly believes in the power of basic to intermediate accompanying -- as a teacher, performer, and well rounded musician.

Allie's eight week training workbook is currently in process. Each week, musicians will learn new aspects of chord progressions, inversions, and implementing them into

current contemporary songs.
